My plan was to write the next blog about the apartment upstairs that I rent to a lovely couple. However, shortly after I finished my last post, I spilled a glass of water on my laptop. It still is not working, and all of my pictures are trapped on it. That post will have to wait for later. Therefore, I thought that I would write about the coat rack/medal display that I made for my husband while we were still dating. You might have noticed it in the living room in my last post. Of course you might not have realized what it was.

What a good idea. So much storage!
This really turned out well. How wonderful.

Thank you! I was really glad that he liked it. It is nice to be able to reuse something in a different way. It keeps things out of the landfills!
I love the two-tone look! I love anything up-cycled like that, and I even think it looks better as a coat rack than as it’s original use!!
It definitely looks better as a coat rack! The two-tone look was in deference to Douglas, who really loves that look. The upside was that it was a lot less work for me! Win-win.

Great repurposing!
I’m glad you liked it!
Reusing materials is one of my favorite things to read about. Really digging the spindles and propping it up against the wall. Oh and that two toned look had me at hello.

Thanks! I really wanted to hang it, but we could not agree on a good way to do it. Then, propping it on a wall grew on us. I rather like it too. 🙂
